Welcome to my website. My name is Roslyne Johnson and I am so glad you are here. Let me tell you a little about myself so we can get acquainted. As you can see, my header reads Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Entrepreneur, Author and Consultant.

As a Social Worker practicing for 25 years. I have been blessed to hold positions in environments such as an inpatient psychiatric hospital, outpatient psychiatric clinics, group homes for teenagers, a teen parenting program, elementary, middle and high school as a school social worker and I even offered individual and marital therapy in my private practice. Social work has been in my blood for a long time and I especially enjoy working with teenage girls. I believe they are a dynamic population and, given the proper tools and support, they will have a huge impact on the world.

Entrepreneurship is also in my blood. My paternal grandfather was an entrepreneur as was my mother. My very first business venture, The Happy Palate, allowed me to share my incredibly delicious baked goods with friends and family. What started off as a fun hobby quickly became additional funds for holiday gifts and other splurges. My specialties were recipes handed down to me from my mother like my Butter Pound Cake, Cheesecake, Carrot Cake and a special cake I call Aloha Surprise. Although I no longer run The Happy Palate, you can find me in the kitchen whipping up some delicious treats on any given holiday.

Somewhat accidentally, I found myself launching a corporate and personal gift basket service. After being hired to create cookie centerpieces for a church luncheon, I began looking into pre packaged goods and arranged them in unique, reusable containers. The fact that all of my containers were reusable and that every basket was personalized, set my business apart from the others. Soon I was creating baskets for hotels, beverage companies, travel businesses, and more. My list of corporate accounts had grown and I was shipping baskets from New York to California and even Canada!

I received an increasing number of requests for spa baskets and was unable to find a company that would wholesale the products I needed. During that same time, my daughters, Sade Maya and Ayanna India, were suffering from extremely dry skin. They had rough, itchy patches of skin that caused them great discomfort. As a Mom, it was hard to watch them in such pain. I began to mix my own oils and butters until I found the recipe that worked best for them. When their skin began to feel better, I shared my Body Frosting with friends and family, and MayaIndia was born. The MayaIndia line also consists of Bath Syrup, Smoothie Scrubs, Bath Candy and Handmade Soaps.

My printed products include a journal for Christian teenage girls that uplifts and encourages them as they navigate everyday life situations. Additionally, I am releasing a series of children’s books based on real life experiences from Sade Maya and Ayanna India’s childhood years.

I am available to speak at events focused on such topics as Girls Empowerment, Healthy Choices/Healthy relationships, Entrepreneurship and Self-Esteem for Teens.

You can book a consultation with me to discuss a myriad of topics such as: How to Build a Product Based Business, How to Prepare for Vendor Fairs and Aromatherapy for Stress Relief.
